Drive with Modenlink Travel
We are looking for licensed private hire drivers who take pride in their work. If you are professional, reliable and know your city, we would like to hear from you.
What we look for
Our chauffeurs are the face of Modenlink Travel. Customers trust them with airport runs, business meetings and important days in their lives. To drive with us you will need:
- A valid private hire driver licence issued by the licensing authority for the area you will work in.
- The right to work in the UK.
- A good driving record and a full UK driving licence.
- A professional manner: punctual, courteous, discreet and smartly presented.
- Good local knowledge, including airports, hotels and business districts.
- A smartphone, so you can use our driver portal.
If you drive your own vehicle, it must be licensed for private hire, insured for hire and reward and meet the standard of the vehicle class it will be used for. We will explain which classes we are looking for when we talk to you. Our our chauffeurs page sets out the standards every driver agrees to.
What we offer drivers
- Pre-booked work. Journeys are booked in advance, so you can see what is coming up and plan your day.
- Clear job information. Pickup details, passenger name, flight information and notes in one place on our driver portal.
- Transparent earnings. Your earnings for each journey and your balance are shown in the portal, with regular statements.
- Support from our team. A real person to call if a passenger cannot be found, a flight is delayed or something goes wrong.
- Fair treatment. Issues are recorded and looked at properly, and feedback is shared with you.
We do not make promises about how much you will earn. We will explain how earnings and settlements work when we talk to you, so you can decide whether it suits you.

Questions from drivers
Do I need my own vehicle?
Not necessarily. Tell us in your application whether you have your own licensed vehicle, and we will talk through the options.
Can I apply if my private hire licence is still being processed?
You can register your interest, but you cannot drive for us until your licence has been issued and we have checked it.
Which areas are you recruiting in?
London is our first city. As we open in more cities, we will recruit drivers licensed in those areas. See our cities page.
How are drivers paid?
Earnings for each journey are shown in the driver portal, and balances are settled on a regular schedule. We explain the details when we speak to you.
